The Townhouses have been a great addition to our campus. Not only do they meet our need for more student housing, but the townhouses provide an additional housing option for our upperclass students. The 8-bed units allow students to live in small communities and have more independent living. The design, with six singles and one double along with two bathrooms, responds to the needs of today’s college student who is looking for more privacy. And, the modest common area in each unit gives students the chance to add their own personal touch in creating a feeling of home. Students like the central common area, available to all townhouse residents, which provides easy access to cooking, computer, laundry and mailboxes.

So far, the townhouses have been well received by our students. They enjoy the feeling of having a residential experience that feels like their own neighborhood, yet is located right on campus.

As an administrator, I appreciated the openness of the KBS staff in working collaboratively with us on this project.
